I believe the funds would need to be escheated to the State of the recipient at some point.

A gang of monkeys attacked a laboratory assistant and escaped with a batch of coronavirus blood test samples, it has been reported.
      Because of course they did.

People need to realize the pandemic isn't over just because you're bored.

Meanwhile NZ released its last hospitalized patient a couple of days ago. No new cases in several days. Australia is doing great, too.

Wisconsin, almost exactly 2 weeks after the dumbassery.

Wisconsin saw a record number of new coronavirus cases and deaths reported in a single day on Wednesday, two weeks after the state’s Supreme Court struck down its statewide stay-at-home order.

The state reported 599 new known COVID-19 cases on Wednesday with 22 known deaths, according to Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services, the highest recorded daily rise since the pandemic began there. As of Wednesday, the state had more than 16,460 known cases and 539 known deaths, according to the department.

The Brits have been garbage about this, too, I must say.

It's been really disheartening. The last few years have really hollowed out the UK's ability to act like a mature state.

Oh, we god damn suck at many things.

But we don’t have many people touting the nation as “great” or that being British makes us great.

And yes, it’s ironic that one of the British Isles is named “Great Britain.”

                          Yup. Really depressing.

When people ask me what is the most concerning aspect of the UK, I usually say that aspect is “becoming more like American”.

Anyone up for some good news?

For the first time since they really started tracking this, the State of NY has less than 1,000 new cases:

                            https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

Also, with the exception of one day at only 103 cases on May 26th, have had less than 100 deaths for the last week.

                            https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/...rus-cases.html

Massachusetts has gone seven straight days with less than 1,000 new cases as well.

                            https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/...rus-cases.html

MA active cases are now down to about 43K.

Not so much for the last 75 years. For hundreds of years before that, the Brits (or at least the English) couldn’t stop talking about it.
