Ohtani scratched from his pitching start today in Oakland. Not because he was injured or sick. Bay area traffic was so bad he had to hop off a city bus and take the BART to the stadium but didn't have enough time to warm up.

That play gets worse and worse the more I watch it. Why didn’t he tag first? Why was he tip toeing to the batter? Why wasn’t anyone covering first in the rundown? Why can’t anyone on the pirates make a good throw?

Braves Marcell Ozuna was arrested in Sandy Springs, GA today for aggravated assault strangulation and misdemeanor battery - family violence, according to the Fulton County records. MLB is expected to investigate. The team has not returned a request for comment.
Ozuna is finished for a very long time. The Braves shouldn't expect him back any time soon. He had to get at least what German got which is 81 games.

Strangulation is a felony, and it indicates something very, very dark going on with Ozuna.

81 games? Assuming the victim was a family member, he’s facing 3 to 20.

It's not even a he said / she said. Apparently the police witnessed him choking her.

Are you seriously suggesting that Ozuna will only get a max 1/4 of what German got which also had eyewitnesses?
What the hell does the victim being a family member have to do with the length of suspensions? Is it any better or worse? I don't see why it should matter. Assault is assault.

                        No, he's talking prison.

That makes sense but his post was pretty vague.

Understood, but 'facing 3 to 20' safely implies he's talking jail.

3 to 20 years in prison is not vauge. But the Ozuna household is a strange dynamic indeed as she was charged with domestic violence against him last year.

                              the rest is just details.

My point was actually that suspension really isn’t the relevant issue, and comparison with Germán completely misses the point. This isn’t a competition.
