    True.

And, if King does eventually require TJ, then Schmidt may stay in his long-relief role for 2023.

Schmidt should be groomed to start in 2023. He can start in AAA if he is blocked.

Well we drafted a bunch of college arms...Let's see what shakes out...We also could go arm heavy in IFA"s this year. Mayea will eat a bunch of our cash if he sign's though.

Scranton is moving Weber to the rotation and he is pitching tonight. As I wrote yesterday Spence was called up from AA to start yesterday. The rest of the rotation looks to be Krook, Brito and Schmidt

Somerset had Deivi yesterday and Vazquez today. The rest looks to be Warren, Boyle and ?

HV had Gomez yesterday, Semple today (rehab assignment from Scranton), Castano tomorrow. The rest looks like Munoz and Panacuol.

Tampa had Yulie yesterday, Castro in game 1 of a DH today and no one announced for game 2. Carela, Fitts and Messinger are announced starts for the rest of the week.

                    Blais Castano promoted to AA
Juan Carela promoted to High A

Both started yesterday with ugly results. Carela couldn't get out of the 1st inning and Castano only got 5 outs. Both gave up 5 earned runs. Our starting pitching pipeline is rail thin after all the deadline trades.

Carela needs R5 protection i believe.

Maybe we see some deals made for those R5 guys now not on the 40 man?

Spencer was 3 for 4 today with his first homer. So far batting .571

Call him up to replace 10d!

J/k but nice to see him off to fast start.

This will be an odd R5 year as it will basically have 2 years of R5 eligible players exposed with no R5 this year. I’m sure many team, Yanks included will try to sneak guys thought. But with the recent trades some of the R5 log jam cleared itself.

Yanks deal Monty for a CF with Flo doing so well in SWB. I hate to say it but i guess they see holes as i do in his game not to just bring him up instead or deal him for worth.
