    2022 DFA Aroldis Chapman Thread

    …..

With King hurt now, it's even more certain that there will be no DFA, they're going to keep trying to get him "right."
I hid in the clouded wrath of the crowd, when they said "sit down" I stood up.

They keep giving Gallo chances. You know they will not give up on Chapman.

I’m too old to hate professional athletes.

I really hate Chapman. GTF off my team. Schmidt, Marinaccio, Waldichuk, Weissert…who cares. Give every one of them a shot.

After last night's performance Boone said Chapman was getting close. Close to what?

To the end of his time in Yankee pinstripes. But he won't get DFA'd.

He was pretty electric back in the day, but that time is gone IMO.

He's got nothing without sticky stuff. No control, no bite, nothing but heat.

He throws more wild pitches than closers give up runs. Over 2WP per 9IP.
A fool and his money can throw one heck of a party!

They’re just gonna keep trotting this guy out there no matter what aren’t they? He can ruin a game in the 7th or 8th just as easily as he could in the 9th.

He's very close. Very very close.

                    So's Gallo. Don't cha know.
Sometimes I feel like my sell by date expired yesterday.

With King gone pretty much true.

                        No bueno.

Hopefully with Chap and Britton coming off the books they’ll finally learn it isn’t wise to spend that much $ on relievers, the one area that they consistently find talent in regardless.

The odds of Chapman being DFA'd is virtually zero as long as the Yankees are way up in the AL East standings. He'll get multiple chances to "get right" and if he doesn't you leave him off the AL Playoff roster.

                          the rest is just details.

100% agree. And we can stack up all the times he “was close” next to the number of games the Astros finish in front of us with the best record.

He probably will be on the playoff roster too.
