GOP Sen. Rick Scott said this morning on TV that he tested positive for covid. His office says he misspoke and he actually tested negative.

I don't trust anything coming from the Republicans as they're trying to cover up how significant this outbreak is within the Republican party.

Kind of weird to silently harbor some weird resentment about a conversation you weren't even involved in, but I think you missed my last response about the Proud Boys. Anyway, the point remains. The two decisions he really had to weigh in on in regards to covid were wrong. You can't deny that.

I posted articles showing that he was wrong about allowing people to continue to vote in the primary and about allowing the convention to go on. This directly and clearly shows that your statement is incorrect.

Most people at this point would have said 'Ok my bad' or deflected to 'Yeah, but he's still better than Trump!'

So now you're either being disingenuous or you honestly don't understand what is written in those articles.

This should have been a simple and straightforward discussion. You made a claim. I disputed it and posted evidence backing it up.

Instead you're douchey right out of the gate with, "You don’t actually read these things when you Google, do you?" Then you bring up a Proud Boys discussion from a different thread which apparently was weighing on your mind, along with Biden's finances which I don't even remember discussing but again must have hurt your feelings.

I guess it should be flattering that you mentally catalogue everything I post, but it's also kind of creepy. Either way, it would be best to discuss one topic at a time. If you want to rehash a different conversation, post in the appropriate thread. I promise to do my best to respond to you, Stan.

Anyway, you still have a non-working link you wanted me to see but I've already said I can't, you want me to find a Biden quote for you and and when I say to show me the Biden quote you say you weren't quoting Biden.

Now you want to pivot to 'read my first post in context.' In other words after all this you now want to claim weren't being literal. Maybe next time open with that instead of using it as your Alamo when all else is lost.

Johnson, who is at least the third Republican U.S. senator to have contracted the coronavirus recently, said he was tested on his way to the Ozaukee County Republican Party Oktoberfest Dinner in Mequon on Friday night, though he didn't get the results back til later on.

In between, he still attended the event, saying he wore his mask until he spoke and stayed "at least 12 feet from anybody as [he was] speaking." He said he quickly left the dinner after his remarks.

Asked whether he was told to self-quarantine after getting tested and while awaiting results, Johnson said there was “no reason to do so.”

“I’m not sick,” he said. “I have no symptoms. I certainly didn’t anticipate testing positive, so there was no reason to quarantine.”

I got nothing.

Could just be because he was getting hammered in the press and social media for not doing so.
