    Re: Covid-19

In CT they're going to be wrapping up the 1A tier and going to 1B which is 75 and over, and 75 and under with medical risks.
You wanna know what? You gotta problem with Luis Cessa, you gotta problem with me. And I suggest you let that one marinate

You definitely fit the 75 and over category.

You have me confused with your fellow residents at your retirement community

President-elect Joe Biden will aim to release every available dose of the coronavirus vaccine when he takes office, a break with the Trump administration's strategy of holding back half of US vaccine production to ensure second doses are available.

I think I'm technically eligible to be vaccinated as part of the second phase but I will wait to let others go ahead of me. While my job is certainly classified as an "essential service", I'm not one of the field workers who HAS to be at work to do their jobs. I could do my work from home. Not as effectively but I could do it. And I'm relatively young and healthy. I can wait my turn. I wish I could give my place in line to you!

Connecticut is breaking down the high risk/priority into 1A, 1B and 1C. Then phase 2 and 3. 1A was healthcare workers and nursing homes, 1B is first responders. Grocery workers. 1C is over 65 and those with underlying conditions. They are moving on to 1B next week

There's some amount of risk here. Biden needs to know that the supply line won't be interrupted.

That's not good at all. Bad plan. Both doses are necessary.

They are but let’s more of us get SOME protection first. No one is saying they won’t get a second. I agree with this there are a lot of people who need it still totally defenseless with 4,000 a day and the approach now has been a complete failure

He's not saying that. He's saying get it all out now and speed up production for the second instead of holding back. I fully expect the defense production act to be put in play.

I don't understand why they don't set up a simple 6 day schedule something like:
Mon/Wed/Fri we give out 1st doses.
Tue/Thu/Sat (2 weeks later) we give out 2nd doses.

                            But what do I know.
                            Baseball is life;
                            the rest is just details.

Ok, that's better than what I thought they were planning.

I wondered since the beginning why they didn't do it that way. If you run short for the second doses, you stop new ones. It's only bad if you lose ALL supply, which better not happen. But if it does, then those people are still better off with half-doses. No brainer.
