The government? You gotta be kidding! They'd assemble a multi-disciplinary team, spend two months developing a charter for the team, and argue for months about whether a 45-year old with diabetes should go before or after a 55-year old who's healthy, and whether a truck driver is at greater risk for exposure than a butcher. They would eventually prepare a 500-page report, and the first American would get a shot in October 2022.

Allocating the vaccine to groups at different rates is a long way from eugenics. Eugenics would be deliberately infecting certain groups with the virus.

Your hyperbole is as bad as the post you are responding too. Well done.

Different rates? The rate allocated for the disabled is zero. Some of society's most vulnerable (and politically least important) will die in this calculated move.

By-product of giving small states overrepresentation.

A little reminder here. When the vaccines first came out the goal was July for the general population to be vaccinated. Connecticut just announced May 3. I would say that is pretty good

                  Re: Covid-19

Just found out my oldest son tested positive for COVID. We think my one-year old grandson has it, too, as he got sick at the same time as his father did. Both are doing well and my DIL is a nurse. We're wondering if Mom brought it back from her clinic or baby brought it back from daycare. Tim Jr. works from home so it had to be one of the other two.

Tim Jr. says it feels like a 4-day hangover and baby has the sniffles and serious crankiness.

EDIT: My grandbaby is going to the hospital for a baby COVID test.today. Poor baby.

My friend who was on a ventilator is now under sedation. They are waiting for an ECMO bed at another hospital in Florida to open up to fly him there. Also has kidney damage. Not looking good

That sucks so much, Rick. I hope he beats the odds. <3

By end of this week, the State of Connecticut will have just under 30 percent of its citizens vaccinated in the last 10 days, the positivity rate has ranged from 1.5 to 3 with one outlier day of 3.58. This is what good government does

I don't know what the positivity rate is, but I heard on the news yesterday that NJ's transmission rate is down to 0.86, which is among the best in the country. Hopefully that trend continues.

Very good. Shows what could have been done all along had the virus been taken more seriously
