I agree. But this is the same church that absolutely, positively, prohibited the pill back in the 60s.
So, they've at least progressed from "do it and you'll go to Hell" to "avoid it if given the choice." Progress. Sorta.

So.... a friend of mine had covid during the Spring which went undiagnosed but is now dealing with reoccurring health issues from it.
A friend of mine got diagnosed last March and is still dealing with long
Term effects from it. Long haul covid is not getting the attention that it should.
I know individual archdiocese can render their own opinion but I believe the Vatican already weighed in on this issue earlier last year. It was their opinion that yes, (I believe it was Pfizer over Moderna at that time but it could be the other way around) one vaccine is morally preferable because of possible fetus stem cell research but it is the moral duty of every person to get vaccinated so if there isn't a choice just go ahead and get vaccinated with whatever is available. Francis is a pragmatist.
You wanna know what? You gotta problem with Luis Cessa, you gotta problem with me. And I suggest you let that one marinate
So, Colorado is expanding the eligibility window to certain at-risk employment categories, and to folks my age, effective Friday. But when I call for an appointment, I'm told I'm not eligible.
"Why not?", I ask, and I'm told you need to be 65.
"But on Friday, the eligible age goes down to 60. I'm trying to make an appointment for then."
"No, you can't do that. You can't make an appointment until you're eligible. Call back on Friday."
"If I call Friday, you won't have any Friday appointments, will you?"
"Almost certainly not."
"Then I really don't become eligible for a shot on Friday, I only become eligible to sign up for a shot."
"Just call back on Friday when you're eligible."
Great system.

He may be a pragmatist, but he still won't let women become priests.

A Frontier Airlines flight from Miami to La Guardia Airport in New York was canceled on Sunday night after a large group of passengers, including several adults, refused to wear masks, the airline said.
By Monday morning, the airline was facing accusations of anti-Semitism for its treatment of the passengers, who are Hasidic Jews, as well as demands for an investigation from the Anti-Defamation League of New York and other groups. Frontier steadfastly held to its position that the passengers had refused to comply with federal rules requiring them to wear masks.
Several cellphone videos that have surfaced do not show the confrontation that took place between the passengers and the Frontier crew members, only the aftermath. The video footage from inside the aircraft appeared to show members of the group wearing masks. Some passengers said that the episode escalated because just one member of the group, a 15-month-old child, was not wearing one.
Videos of the passengers exiting the plane amid chaos, captured by other people on the flight, were posted on Twitter by the Orthodox Jewish Public Affairs Council. In one video, a passenger says, “This is an anti-Semitic act.”
I hope the investigation gets to the bottom of this and that it indeed was not antisemitic. If it really was just the babies who were unmasked, then this is so wrong.

I figured if I kept trying at the pharmacy sites I would get in earlier but tomorrow was a surprise. The interval for the scheduled second dose is 3 weeks which makes it Pfizer, I think?
