In CT the rollout for age groups has been listed (now at 55 and above. March 22: age 45-54. April 12: age 35-44 . May 3: age 16-34) There's going to be plenty of supply. I just wonder about the availability of getting an appointment, especially in the next roll out on March 22.

The mega center at Lord and Taylor in Stamford has tons of appointments available. I think they're figuring this out.

I just checked online, there weren't any available. Do you need call by phone? (I know someone in Norwalk who is looking for an appt)

Hmmmm. There were a bunch there early this morning. Maybe appointments had just dropped and we're snatched up already? If I hear anything I'll shout at you.

Thanks. I know a guy who is looking for one for his brother. Apparently his brother can't be bothered to get one himself, so he has to do it for him. Family, you got to love it.

Anyway, I'll pass on your Lord&Taylor tip. That's his worry. lol

Colorado has approved vaccines for age 60 and above last Friday, along with certain high-risk groups. The plan is to expand to 55 and up in another week, along with food service workers. However, you can't call for an appointment until you're eligible, and there's about a 2-3-week wait list at most locations, so becoming eligible only means that you can get a shot in another couple weeks.

Last weekend, the state got an influx of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. The County I live in had a single site operating a clinic over the weekend. Easy to get signed up (if you were on an eligible list). Minimal red tape. In - shot - wait 15 minutes - out. Had I not availed myself of this opportunity, it would have been about a month and a half before I could have received both shots for one of the double-shot vaccines.

Am I missing something? Isn't that how it works - you become eligible to schedule an appt. It doesn't mean the day you become eligible you get a needle in your arm. That seems a bit impracticable given the amount of people you're dealing with and limited vaccination times. Some people are better at procuring event tickets, unfortunately

Yes it seems pretty straight forward but Maynerd needs something to complain about.

Yeah, my sister also lives in Paris and she says it has been woeful. My wife has family in Ireland and they have managed to keep things reasonable there, having just come off a severe 6 week lockdown.

Yeah for all the trouble with the US roll out it still seems to be one of the better ones world wide. We're up to 2.1M shots per day (which may increase with 3 vaccine now available) and at current rate will have 75% of population vaccinated in 6 months.
