Edit: I meant to quote your post about India's daily high, of course.
Yep, it set a new world record.

India does not have a nightmare president, though. They have a nightmare Prime Minister. His basic platform is Hindu nationalism, which has been incredibly divisive. He’s also continued to hold huge, maskless, tightly packed rallies, and to allow a couple of million people to gather for religious festivals.

Pretty much everyone in my immediate family (and non-immediate family) along with co-workers have either received their two doses of covid vaccine or the one-and-done J&J vaccine with the exception of my granddaughters who are underaged but one has been taking part in Pfizer clinical trial.

I actually knew that they had a PM. I didn't say that they had a president. I'll bet that platform goes over well for the many Muslims there. Anyhow, he sounds like a real gem, and about as smart and decent as Drumpf and Bolsinaro. Poor India.

India has a little over 200 million Muslims, the third-largest Muslim population in the world. Modi's not stupid, but he rules as the leader of his party, not as leader of the Indian people.

Sounds like Drumpf, except he's also stupid. LMAO.

Biden so far not living up to his promise to waive vaccine intellectual property rules is a moral failure.

Thanks for posting this. Sadly the closest one to us is in Aurora, Colorado, which is...not at all close. I clicked the button to call me if one opens closer to where we live.

So this private school in (where else?) Florida has said it won't employ any teacher who gets vaccinated.

                    https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/26/u...y-vaccine.html

A private school in the fashionable Design District of Miami sent its faculty and staff a letter last week about getting vaccinated against Covid-19. But unlike institutions that have encouraged and even facilitated vaccination for teachers, the school, Centner Academy, did the opposite: One of its co-founders, Leila Centner, informed employees “with a very heavy heart” that if they chose to get a shot, they would have to stay away from students.

In an example of how misinformation threatens the nation’s effort to vaccinate enough Americans to get the coronavirus under control, Ms. Centner, who has frequently shared anti-vaccine posts on Facebook, claimed in the letter that “reports have surfaced recently of non-vaccinated people being negatively impacted by interacting with people who have been vaccinated.”

If I worked there, I would just get the shot(s) and not tell them.

Then I would immediately look for alternate employment anyway.

                                What's a "large crowd"?

I haven't worn a mask when out on an evening walk around the neighborhood. If someone else is, we make sure to pass on opposite sides of the street. At the same time, I always wear a mask when walking around Main Street.
