The top 20 states + DC that have done the best at getting shots in arms all voted for Biden. And 15 of the 16 states that have the fewest shots in arms per capita voted for Trump. (The one outlier: Georgia.)

It's so amazing that Republicans continue to get people to vote for them while showing over and over literally how little they care about whether their constituents live or die.

If they had defined an exit criteria from the start, they would have had to change it repeatedly as they learned more about the virus and you would have been just as frustrated.
Our former president said we would be back to normal by Easter 2020 and no one knows more about science than Donald Trump.

LMAO. Not odd at all. If racism and slavery and misogyny and patriarchy are wrong, then they're wrong. The end.

Coronavirus: Satellite traffic images may suggest virus hit Wuhan earlier

            https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-52975934.amp

Harvard researchers say satellite images show an increase in traffic outside five hospitals in the Chinese city from late August to December.

The traffic spike coincided with a rise in online searches for information on symptoms like "cough" and "diarrhoea".

China said the study was "ridiculous" and based on "superficial" information...

The BBC's John Sudworth in Beijing says there were limits on the data set used by researchers - for example, they could not always compare satellite images taken on the same day in consecutive years due to cloud cover in some of the photos.

But if the infection was present - undetected perhaps - some people could have been leaving Wuhan and travelling abroad and that fits with some of the other evidence we have begun to see in other parts of the world suggesting early cases of Covid-19, our correspondent says.

However it may be unfair to use the study as evidence of a cover-up or delay in China's response, because with a previously unknown illness taking root in a community it is quite possible that there was some undetected spread before it was noticed officially, our correspondent adds.
It's not definitive proof of anything but it's interesting food for thought on the COVID19 origin story.

Have been on hiatus for quite awhile. Hope we didn't lose anybody to Covid. What happened to all the political threads?

The COVID19 Wuhan lab leak origin theory-at least the idea that it can't be ruled out yet-seems to be gaining huge traction.

It's possibly true...and certainly what a lot of people want to believe.

And what a lot of people don't want to believe, too. It's a horrifying possibility, in any number of ways.

If true, the inevitable evolution of warfare takes a leap forward.

There's a huge gap between a lab leak and the idea that it was intentionally engineered. I don't think most suggesting that it may have leaked from a lab believe that the virus was created by scientists.

Whether the virus occurred in nature and the Chinese were just studying it, or whether it was deliberately created, the regime will continue to put out disinformation/denials.

There is an anti-mark rally in Massapeequa to lift mandates for school children even though those under 12 aren't eligible for the vax, those between 12-15 have only received 1 shot and school will end in less than a month. Someone on my Facebook has been dying on this hill for months and posted the notice. Unreal.

That's true. But I assume the idea of a "horrifying possibility" is not about the denial of responsibility, but something more nefarious.
