Seems I missed the 11th commandment. Apparently it is "Thou Shall Not Wear a Mask"Bring tea for the Tillerman; Steak for the son; Wine for the woman
who made the rain come; Seagulls sing your hearts away;
'Cause while the sinners sin, the children play ...

LOL...
I have a confession to make: I’m a little jealous of Gov. Gavin Newsom.
I realized this on Monday as I watched him, dressed in an impeccable blue suit, and scowling and pointing at no one in particular as he laid into the “right-wing echo chamber” and the millions of Americans who have yet to get vaccinated for COVID-19.
“It’s a choice to live with this virus, and with all due respect, you don’t have the choice to go out and drink and drive and put everybody else’s lives at risk,” he declared during a news conference in Alameda County. “That’s the equivalent of this moment with the deadliness and efficiency of the Delta [variant]. You’re putting other people’s, innocent people’s lives at risk.”Dr. Roberto Vargas, an assistant dean at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, put it this way.
“For those of us who are sensitive about blaming people who have suffered from oppression for their behavior or related outcomes, it’s a really tough thing,” he said. “Yes, there may be some behaviors that are going on in Black and brown communities that are putting us at greater risk. At the same time, there’s a level of responsibility at a systemic or institutional level that’s contributing to that disparity.”
In other words, there’s an inherent white privilege in white rage at the unvaccinated.
This is something Vargas has understood for months, working at vaccination clinics across South L.A. and having conversation after conversation with people of color uneasy about getting the jab.

In the past month, the 50-64 group contributed the most Covid-19 dead to the morgue, in part because so many of them have shunned the vaccine. The age factor helps to explain why the rate of vaccination has stalled and is unlikely to accelerate, especially among the 19-to-49 crowd, many of whom feel immortal.
Age 65-74 -- 91% vaccination rate
Age 50-64 -- 76%
Age 40-49 -- 66%
Age 25-39 -- 57%
Age 18-24 -- 52%
Age 16-17 -- 48%
Age 12-15 -- 37%
Setting a sensible toleration point for Covid-19 won’t come easy. Nobody wants to be the guy who says, “It’s regrettable but acceptable that this many people die.” But our day of reckoning is drawing near. We can’t hide in our burrows forever.

It just seems that if something can fit the "(D)=good; (R)=bad" narrative, nothing else matters.

I think mistrust of science and medical field causing vaccine hesitancy is a big problem.
I think misinformation from anti-vaxxers is a big problem.
I think main stream media adding fuel to the vaccine hesitancy is a big problem.
I think elected official making ignorant statements against vaccines is a big problem.
They all might have different root causes and solutions but they are all bad.Baseball is life;
the rest is just details.

From the article:
Age 65-74 -- 91% vaccination rate
Age 50-64 -- 76%
Age 40-49 -- 66%
Age 25-39 -- 57%
Age 18-24 -- 52%
Age 16-17 -- 48%
Age 12-15 -- 37%
for me if you choose (beyond legit medical reasons) not to get vaccinated, whether it be to own the libs, whether they listen to conspiracy theories, they get zero sympathy from me if they get it.
But here is the problem where their “freedoms” impact others. The longer the unvaccinated numbers are high and Covid is allowed to mutate further, at some point a new strain will not be touched by vaccines. Delta, the current strain already is putting a dent in the effectiveness. The selfishness, entitlement wnd stupidity of these people are causing harm

The age is also a factor of how long dad age group has had access to the vaccines. 12-15 just got it recently so that would explain why theirs is lower than 75 or up who had it since January. A clear and distinct difference, and one with a more fair comparison criteria is political party. One follow a reality star who mocks those who wears masks and a party largely denounces science (45% trust it which goes in line with the vaccination rate). The other listens to add. Fauci and science and a vaccination rate near 70%. It isn’t even debatable the Republicans are the issue here

FWIW ... apparently, our county has the highest number of registered Republicans in NJ. We are also apparently not a "young" county. We are the only county in NJ that does not have over 50% vax rate according to recent figures.Bring tea for the Tillerman; Steak for the son; Wine for the woman
