    I really don't like mandatory vaccinations even though it is probably the best move at this point. It wouldn't get past a US court of law either.

    A part of me says, No vaccine? Then you can't enter public buildings etc. But that would end up punishing people who need help in other walks of life. Additionally, I want children to get the vax soon as as well, and if we say they can't come to school, all we're doing is reinforcing a lack of education and making their parents responsible for homeschooling which is not gonna help.

        Agreed. The inability to communicate ell was hindered from day one due to the previous admin and that really screwed the pooch.

        Equally, I do not think improving the communications would be enough to convince many anti-vaxxers to get the shot.

          That's not a loophole.....it's a feature. Let's not give even MORE power to career bureaucrats.

          I was referencing the constant appointing of acting directors that Trump took so much pride in. He filled dozens of positions without senate approval and when the courts tried to stop that, he moved on to delegation. The Federal Vacancies Reform Act is inadequate because of...loopholes.

                              At the end of the day, neither am I. It's still depressing as hell though. So apparently after the Delta variant (and the Delta plus strain that attacks the spike that the mRNA vaccines use to gain efficacy - sorry if that doesn't make any sense, it's how I remember what my epidemiologist buddy said to me, but I did have a few drinks last night as we chatted), comes the Gamma variant.
