Three employees have tested positive this week at work, so my company announced this afternoon that we're all going remote again effective Monday. We've been back since October 2020.

My son works for Fidelity and they went back to full remote last week. They closed the entire office which they never did before. During the previous COVID protocols they still had a few employees ( very few) going to the office including my son. Now no one is going in. They'll probably reevaluate after the holidays. My other son has remained on remote at his job since the beginning of COVID
You wanna know what? You gotta problem with Luis Cessa, you gotta problem with me. And I suggest you let that one marinate

Agreed. It doesn't really impact me because I'm scheduled to be working remote until 2/1 due to my health, but it did hit like a ton of bricks.

There's some functions of my company that are a lot harder to do outside the office, so there will probably be 2-3 people in the office.

They also cancelled the holiday party next Thursday night, so at least now I'm not skipping it.

I got my first COVID vaccine a year ago today. I nearly cried with joy and relief. I was so hopeful.

Epidemiologists and infectious disease experts say Covid-19 could become endemic, ending the pandemic, in 2022. Here's what 'normal' life might look like soon.

Would be shocked with daily cases at an all time high right now and much of the workd unvaccinated if it happens in 2022. I hope but I think a miracle is needed

Weren't we promised by the greatest mind of our generation, in fact the greatest mind of any generation, that Covid would disappear like a fart in a windstorm once the warm began?

We also declared our independence from Covid in July. Nobody without a degree and a lab coat has any clue about this, and even then those people can only hypothesize.

The one light at the end of the tunnel is an increasing number of doctors are saying we are closer to endemic status than not. If Omicron continues to be more transmissible but less severe/deadly, then that's a really good sign we're headed there.
