I'm aware, but what's the point of addressing me except for show to others?
I can't speculate on the intent of another poster. But I can say that as with so much social media, when you post something on this forum, you're putting it out there for the rest of the posters to respond to as they see fit. It's kind of the bargain you make by participating. That's my take, anyway.

True but with so much of social media, you are posting with a huge number of strangers you have never encountered and may never again. Here, particularly in this forum, you are posting with a handful of people you've posted with for years, sometimes decades. The bargain is the same but I don't know that the expectations should be. 🤷
(and to be fair, you sure do get your panties in a bunch when ojo calls you a canadian lol)

That would be unfair, because he did much more than call me Canadian. Right from the get-go he was trying to tell me I have no right to an opinion here because I'm "from Lake Woebegone" and I have "no skin in the game" and the like. Yes, I don't care for that stuff, I must admit.

I'll answer it directly. If someone is going to consistently publish public content on this forum that denigrates large swaths of people, including many members here, and I have an opinion on that, I'm going to comment on it publicly. I don't invoke her in between the vitriolic posts, I don't PM her to antagonize her, and unlike her and another here I don't go around trying to build a cone of sympathy for myself and to get others to come to my defense. She likes to carpet bomb this thread with offensive commentary and then use the block feature and try to limit her feedback to people who agree with her, fine - that's what it's for. But I'll engage the rest of the group on the content if I think it's worthwhile to do so.

So hating on gigantic tranches of stereotyped people you don't prefer meets expectations, wishing people to hell is above board, responding to nasty posts from someone who has you blocked is beneath expectations. Tell me more.

Well since I didn't say any of that, I guess I should tell you more. I don't care what anyone posts. Not even a tiny bit. I think the ignore feature is cowardly and most of the rules are antiquated and silly while the moderation is random and biased. But I make a choice to post here so I go along with it and that is my decision.
Anything else you'd like to make up about what I think? Pretty sure that's a violation of one of the silly rules but since you didn't say the words "you think", I'm confident you'll have some fun spin and I am fine with that too.

Yet here we are. I wonder why.
I see that inferring someone's thoughts from a post is something you're comfortable with on the giving end only.
You didn't say those things, but I inferred them the context of the post and your subsequent reply, and from your latency when the types of examples I posted occur and your hyperactivity when I respond to the types of posts in question. If I misread either of those things, I apologize.

Here's an unsurprising statistic I saw yesterday for my resident state of CT. 79% of the folks who are currently hospitalized for covid have not been vaccinated. The state has an 85% vaccination rate which makes that stat about unvaccinated hospitalization stand out even more. But you know, vaccinations don't work.
You wanna know what? You gotta problem with Luis Cessa, you gotta problem with me. And I suggest you let that one marinate

There's nothing cowardly about the ignore feature, Tex. Avoiding posts from people who do nothing but get under your skin is a lot better than letting them, well, constantly get under your skin. I just don't have the energy for that.

Lol that the CDC admitted that the extreme spread of Omicron threatened the functioning of society because too many people would have to miss work, forcing them to cut the recommended isolation period in half. Then they later admit that people can still infect others after 5 days, meaning this will effectively increase spread of omicron, but this is somehow fine and good.
Also the American Heart Association updated their Basic Life Support guidelines saying that if I need to do CPR on a covid positive patient, I shouldn't delay it to wear proper PPE or place a face covering on the patient - just immediately starting compressions. I mean, if i have to do CPR, the patient's probably already dead, so the few seconds it takes for me to put on PPE won't make that much of a difference.

Next announcement will be the CDC asks all employees to isolate during their two 15 minute breaks
