Nope. Even without Trump this showed how truly unprepared they were for the real thing. They've spend most of their existence in the theory realm and never had to actually deal with what they put out whitepapers on.

It's almost like both political parties in America only serve the interests of the corporations they are beholden to

Then they later admit that people can still infect others after 5 days, meaning this will effectively increase spread of omicron, but this is somehow fine and good.
Also the American Heart Association updated their Basic Life Support guidelines saying that if I need to do CPR on a covid positive patient, I shouldn't delay it to wear proper PPE or place a face covering on the patient - just immediately starting compressions. I mean, if i have to do CPR, the patient's probably already dead, so the few seconds it takes for me to put on PPE won't make that much of a difference.
Regarding CPR on a patient with COVID, I wouldn't be doing rescue breaths if I didn't have proper PPE. I'd skip that and just do the chest compressions."Our work continues, the fight goes on, and the big dreams never die." -- Elizabeth Warren

That last part though. The amount of patients I did cpr on in the last 2 years was more than my 11 years of being a nurse combined. Not one time did I go into any of those rooms without my PPE. AHA might not be looking out for me, but I damn sure am. How utterly irresponsible of them to put out those guidelines. Even my raggedy hospital management reminded us there’s no emergency in a pandemic, get your ppe on before you jump in."Our work continues, the fight goes on, and the big dreams never die." -- Elizabeth Warren
