My mom works in a school district where a good chunk of the students don't have internet access so remote instruction really isn't an option. They just came out with their contingency plan which is...sending students home with 30 days worth of paper "instructional packets." That sounds like a nightmare.
School provided breakfast and lunch would be dropped off each morning at the regularly scheduled bus stop, which is at least good.
In particular regarding hand sanitizer, shouldn't people buy only what they absolutely need? Do you really want four cases of the stuff on the shelf at home, such that nobody else can get any? Because.......those people who CAN'T get any are the ones touching the banisters and doorknobs you're going to touch.

You’d think people would want medical professionals to have surgical masks, but you’d be wrong.
As a nurse working in a hospital I am looking it as a matter of when I get the virus, not if.
So far the number of daily surgeries has not decreased. One there is a confirmed case in my county I am expecting the number of elective procedures to drop off sharply.

Some woman in Hartford set an apartment building on fire that caused one death as the result of her throwing a container of hand sanitizer that was lit on fire at her friend. I don't think that's the intended purpose for hand sanitizer.
You wanna know what? You gotta problem with Luis Cessa, you gotta problem with me. And I suggest you let that one marinate

Thats actually kind of cool that they’re still going to deliver breakfast/lunch. I’m sure a lot of families depend on it.
Funny story. My son's friend came over to play this afternoon. His mom dropped him off. When I stepped outside to shake her hand, she said, "Oh, I'm not shaking people's hands." I just smiled and said that I understood, which I do. After she left I laughed that she wouldn't shake my hand for fear of coronavirus (presumably), but was fine with her kid staying at my house for a few hours.
