He was always a happy-go-lucky kind of a guy and really enjoyable in interviews.
His charities have always done a lot for inner-city kids so that could be a reason he's strongly cheered.

    From Wikipedia:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curtis...#Personal_life

"When he endorsed Nike, Inc., Louisville Slugger and Rawlings, he asked them to donate money to his foundation or equipment to inner-city baseball programs rather than pay him."

"His foundation, Grand Kids Foundation, has raised money to benefit the educations of inner-city children around the country.[3][4] Granderson wrote a children's book, All You Can Be: Dream It, Draw It, Become It!, which was published in August 2009. The book is illustrated by students of the New York City public school system."

"In 2011, Granderson was also voted one of the friendliest players in the Major Leagues, according to a poll conducted by Sports Illustrated of 290 players."
Grandy was a class act all the way. Same with Didi.

Braves signed rookie pitcher Spencer Strider to a 6 year, $75 million extension. That's confidence eh?
I hid in the clouded wrath of the crowd, when they said "sit down" I stood up.

          Posted this in wrong thread...

The Red Sox DFAing Jeter Downs is hilarious. The fact that them, dire for pitching, said no to Graterol, when he was offered first and preferred Downs makes it funnier.

The Dodgers should sign Downs than offer him to the Sox for Devers...lol
