    2022 Draft News and Notes...

Well here is BA mock 1.0...Yanks select HS pitcher Andrew Dutkanych...I like pitching but would prefer a college arm...This will change 20 times over i'm sure

Some reports are they might bring back the D and F policy. If so players, if they don't attend a 4 years school can sign prior to the next draft for a max of 225,000

I wouldn’t get attached to any draft prospects. Yanks tend to pick a player that’s not on anyone’s radar.
"It is the soldier, not the reporter, Who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, Who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, Who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, Who allows the protestor to burn the flag."

Question. What is the D & F policy? F stand for Future pick. We need another core out of our farm system. I truly believe we had the talent in 2017/18 but just did not work out.

Article 1 year ago (1990 draft) On this date 30 years ago, Andy Pettitte and Jorge Posada joined Bernie Williams (signed at the age of 17 in 1985) and Mariano Rivera (signed in February of ’90) in the New York Yankees’ system.

(Pettite, Posada, Mo, Jeter was our core)

It's called the Draft and Follow Process...In the past a team had up to 11 months to elect to sign players who fit this format.. Now the one rumored will have some different rules but same idea.

He must have had the same surgeon as Henry Rowengartner.

Baseball America in its second mock draft has the Yankees selecting Sterling Thompson, a left handed outfielder from Florida.

Latest Baseball America draft has Yankees taking 6' 7 ' Spencer Jones, OF Vanderbilt, a lefty who strikes out a lot.
