The last time i can remember seeing ,who i thought was the best Milb pitcher come from our system was Sean Henn( Prior to TJS)... Yes that long ago...
I remember Sean. WOW - that really is a long time ago.
I don't recall him ever receiving any National acclaim though. But I did have some high hopes for him in the late 2000s. Just did not pan out. I think he had a brief appearance with teh Mets near the end of his career, but I could be wrong.

Back when the Penn League was a College Drafted prospect show Henn was untouchable for a bit until arm troubles came and he was a strange case where he didn't come back stronger than before the operation. He had Control issues after.
We had another two outstanding arms around that time , Todd Noel and Christian something ...I can't recall his name but both were side tracked by years of injuries
Sean Henn is the one of the few Yankees I can think of who went straight from AA to starting in the majors. Chase Wright might be the only other one I can think of.

Is that Chase "4 consecutive HRs in debut" Wright?
I remember seeing him when he was in the Minors. Always thought he had a chance. He was in a group of pitchers with Matt DeSalvo, Chein Mein Wang, Tyler Clippard, Matt Smith, Brad Halsey, Jorge De La Rosa, Alex Graman, and several others who i thought would be solid bottom-of-the-rotation starters, along with a few high-priced Fas like Mussina, Clemens, and the like.
Never panned out though. Wang was great, but only lasted a couple of years. Clippard became a solid relief Pitcher. Most of teh others did not have much of a Major league impact.

Wow A blast from the past
Do you remember a pitcher named Christian ?? who was always injured? I can't remember his name
Christian Parker maybe? He broke camp in 2001 as the 5th starter and couldn't make it through 1 start. His injury paved the way for Ted Lilly.
Thanks, But No i don't think so?
Update ...Just went through drafts from 2000 up and It's Christian Garcia...3rd pick 2004 draft.. So many names i had forgotten...Boy did we draft some busts then..
I never realized he had a Cup of Coffee with the Nats in 2012 then got injured and released...

Christin Garcia (along with Alan Horne) had all the tools in the world. Those 2 would have been ahead of Hughes and Kennedy and Joba if they remained healthy. They were literally top of the rotation starters, with a solid mix of pitches. I drooled the few times I saw them in person.
Unfortunately, it was only a few times, due to injuries.
