    2023 Draft news and notes....

    AS PER BA's 3.0 MD the Yankees will select Sam Stafura A SS from Cortland Manor NY...Sounds Volpe ish...BA says Yankees making no secret about loving this kid ...I'm fearful of NYS SS selections in the 1rd... (Cito) I would go best collega arm available..

    Well, Volpe was also a 1st rounder. I still have high hopes for him.

    So was a guy named Jeter, back in teh day......😉😉

        Understood. But NY, NJ, same story. They face the same weather patterns, and get the same amount of playing time in. Conditions are not like Florida or Arizona, but the 2 east coast States are similar.

                Jeff Passan and others say this is a real deep draft class..(A lot of mid rounds arms out there.) Passan says this is the perfect storm for the Yankees to throw caution to the wind and go over cap money and draft top prospect available.

                    They are pretty bad as the numbers don't lie but they have someone there the last few years that have found some usable college arms.
                    Again I would draft only college arms unless someone really blew me away....We seem to get are OF's though trades or IFA's.
                    Remember people love power arms and even if they don't make it teams seem to value them in trade talks.
