A little over 4 years after his signing. If all else is equal, it might've been 3 because of the pandemic.

Hopefully we've just seen the tip of the iceberg with him and he continues to grow as a player/producer.

Was discussing this with a friend last night. He made the same point - if not for the 2020 season being shut down, Jasson might have been here last year. Most likely not, as the Yankees were competing - although slumping badly - (although Hicks was horrible in CF, and around this time last year, they did call up Florial for a bit. Might have been Jasson's chance) but one never knows.

I live out of state and was able to see Montero's second game at Yankee Stadium. Was so stoked on him before that game, and even more so after his two hit game that day. Thought he was going to be a stud RH slugger.

I believe we all thought that. Some around here, at the time, did not think he would stick as a Catcher, but almost everyone thought he would hit, and hit for power.
