Kind of a weird signing, not sure what they see in him. He's got an ok cutter, but the rest of his pitches are pretty poor.

Baseball America put out its list of top 10 catchers, first base, and second base prospects. No Yankee made any of these three lists.

All of these lists are questionable because most of those players haven't played in an official game since 2019.

I'm with you - there's no where to go but down for him. If he does follow in that line of players, he's going to have done it with an enormous amount of pressure - maybe the best comp in that regard would be LeBron James.

The likelihood of Jasson turning into Mike Trout is about as unlikely as it was for David Clyde to become the next Koufax, or even Mike Trout to become Mike Trout.
