    bump.

If you wish to get in touch with me, then my gmail address works. Considering that not everybody has a home ISP, work or school email address, I think that the Admins here may want to ease up on disallowing the google, yahoo or juno email addresses. We're not all spammers.

I used to have an ISP-provided email address, which can be used to verify someone's identity. However, my current gmail address isn't accepted, so I can't change to this.

    Suggestions?

Question for administrator(S) Moderator(s) I can't post elsewhere or even reply to other threads or even PM admins or Mods.

I realize that Spam and trolls are a concerns but just a suggestion , my perception is that the site is not very user friendly for new members. this site is not that receptive to newbies

I appreciate that Spam is a concern with PM other members, but I can't even PM Moderators or Administrators.

How does a newbie get access to this site?

I registered using my real e mail , real name .

I'd like to be able to PM

Please take the time to check the email address that you have on file to make sure that it is current and functional. We really need a way to contact members from time to time, and failure to keep a functional email on file leads to a member being banned until we are contacted with a current, working address.

This can cause unnecessary stress, drama, aggravation, and work for everybody involved. In the words of Guiseppe Franco, "Who has the time for that nonsense?"

To check your address, go to "User CP". Click "Edit Email and Password" from the menu in the column on the left.

I believe the point is not to only allow the popular emails. I am pretty sure you can only have school or work emails (and possibly ones that you had to pay for).

I dont think that the idea was to ignore them because they're not popular.

The point is that 1 guy can set up 50 accounts on gmail very easily, and create different accounts here. You ban one, and he can just make a new email and do it again.

You have an ISP, somewhere, somehow. It's not gmail... so why not use the email address from your ISP?

Thanks for the reminder. Luckily, I didn't need to change it. Have had problems with other sites in the past when email has changed.
