    Lou Gehrig

I took a deep breath when I saw the home page today Jim. There's something about that shot of Lou Gehrig that in many ways says it all about the heart of the New York Yankees. He's my all time favorite Yankee.

    ...so you like it?

In many ways, Lou does represent many things about the Yankees. He is the first person I think of when someone says "Yankee Hero", or something like that. Sure, the Babe was great, and the Mick, and Joe D., and the list goes on and on; but Lou was different than all of them.

Leave him up there for a while Jim...I'm with you Irish...he is my all time fav Yank, too. In my eyes he was larger than life; as a player and as a man.

I don't know much about him, but he is the type of player that everybody should look up to. He had great and will always be looed up upon as a ROLE MODEL.
