    TOO many pages

Can't we do SOMETHING about threads that go on forever? How is it possible follow the thread and the points made when: The A-Rod thread runs 70 pages, the Dump Proctor is 18 pages and the Red Sox Thread (around the majors) is 354 pages!
How about close them out after, say ten pages (maybe even fewer) and if it's that big a deal let a new thread start. Come on now - has anyone actually read the 354 pages about the R.Sox (you should to make sure you're not repeating something)! It's gotten to the point that if I see something going on for 10+ pages - I don't even bother with it any more - besides it's probably history by then anyway.

In the Options section under "UserCP", you can change the number of posts per page to 100. This should cut down on the number of pages considerably.

Number of Posts to Show Per Page
Use this option to set the number of posts to show in a thread before splitting the display into multiple pages.

Thanks Arch, I had no clue about this feature. Or I didn't realize it.

It may cut down on the number of pages, but it's the same number of posts to wade through.
Personally if I don't catch a long thread from the beginning, I don't usually bother posting in it. So many things have been repeated over and over and people don't even read all the replies, they just put in their own 2 cents.

It would help if the rule against in-game commentary were enforced for the Red Sox thread. I like that thread. I like to read it. But I hate wading through pages and pages of Red Sox game thread to get to the stuff I want to read.

            That rule does exist.

Edit: Sorry, just re-read it and saw that you said enforced. My bad.
