That doesnt mean that like it seems Cashman is doing, you build your team to be good enough to get into the playoffs. With their trsources they should be putting together the best all around team possible. If they do that could they still get knocked out? Of course. The Dodgers didnt win it all this year but I dont think their fans are complaining that they didnt try hard enough or spend what they should have.NYYFANS: See you on the other side!

So Trevor Gott signs a major league deal with the Brewers, and gets put on the 40 man roster. However, its a " split contract"; he will make different salaries if he plays in the minors vs. majors. I've never heard of this before; is it common ?More people have walked on the moon than have scored an earned run off of Mariano Rivera in the postseason.

They need to end this experiment with him. Their best "catching" prospect is Austin Wells and he is not a catcher by any means.

the Yankees already had a quality LF.
Rizzo helped a little but he wasn’t a difference maker.
cashmonkey left a tattered pitching staff in no better shape.

From what I read, they were going to decline Barnhart's option anyway, and were interested in getting Quitanna back as they drafted him in 2019."Glory is fleeting, but obscurity is forever." - Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821)
