This is what you get when you task the person responsible for creating this mess with fixing it.

I have a feeling Gleyber/Voit/German head a package that includes a few top prospects to get Olson - and Cashman finds a way to include Manaea. I don't mind overpaying, taking on salary or "not winning the trade". I think it's the right move to make.
I have another feeling the Yanks will sign Seager to a contract that's too long lol - I sure would like to keep it at 7 years. But I like what he would be bringing to this team.
Even if these are the only moves they make, they will have strengthened three or four weaknesses - rotation, 1B SS and two lefty bats.
I'm willing to build a roster around these 3 moves. It can easily be a contender."Somebody once asked me if I ever went up to the plate trying to hit a home run. I said, 'Sure, every time.'" -- Mickey Mantle

They're going to want multiple quality prospects. You're going to have to start with Gil and Peraza + lower-level talent."Glory is fleeting, but obscurity is forever." - Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821)

So how do you like this? Torres/Voit/German/Gil/Peraza/ and a lower level prospect, as you suggest, for Olson and Manaea?
Everything is contingent on signing Seager, though. If they sign Seager, they can even just signing Rizzo for a 3yr deal and use the talent pool for other areas - but Matt Olson and Seam Manaea sure seem like good fits.
Another thought: if and when the NL adopts the DH rule (hopefully in the next few weeks), Sanchez Stanton and Voit's values definitely increase, IMO.
I think it's exciting that there are so many different options to have in order to construct a much better roster in 2022."Somebody once asked me if I ever went up to the plate trying to hit a home run. I said, 'Sure, every time.'" -- Mickey Mantle

No. I can't see trading Urshela (it's Torres) now but I am at the point that I would not be surprised what Brian does. Like a panic time to produce and spend.. Urshela glove is great at 3rd and SS. We signed DJ for 6 years to play 2nd. He is my only player I still like on this roster. 6 years so Brian could get under the LT (I feel was a mistake and not 80M/4 - I think he is 33 now). I believe DJ had an off year because we played him at 2nd, 3rd, and 1st. I hope the hitting coach will improve everybody and learn how to poke the ball with the bat. We don't have a plan that works but it's what Brian wants (Torres at SS which didn't work before we sign DJ at 2nd). I feel all the 2017/18 window and hopes should be all gone (including Judge). We screwed it up somehow. Sure Torres is better at 2nd (just look at what he did) but Torres will never be as good as DJ (fielding or hitting). Either trade Torres or put him at 1st. I know he will be better than Voit but he improved last year with balls in the dirt. (we hurt him too). Look Andujar was the most talented like Torres even more than Judge - I still think about another core and multiple WS.
These patches (Gio, Seager, DJ, Rizzo) never got us a WS because the present roster and allocations are based on terrible analytics that Brian follows. I know many poster will say how great a job he did but not me.
(IMO To reply to earlier post not signing Harper our biggest mistake (maybe) NO it was the year before by signing Stanton and probably impacted Harper)

Forget about including Voit, Torres or German in any trade proposals because that’s not what Oakland is looking for. They’re looking for MLB-ready prospects with virtually no service time so they can controls costs for a few years until they have to trade them too."Glory is fleeting, but obscurity is forever." - Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821)
