Agree with you but I expect the PR machine and press sycophants will be out in force in late Dec through January. .
They will detail the great farm system we have and fans just need to be patient since there were no bargains in the marketplace (as if Hal doesn’t have another $100m easy to spend on the roster….of course I’d fire Cashman and spend big bucks but more wisely).
Then the kool aid fans will show up telling us how wonderful the Yankees are and that Hal is smart with his money by not spending (lol it wouldn’t surprise if the organization has folks that post here for them).
Characterizing people with different opinions than your own as "Kool aid fans" is antithetical to balanced discourse

I doubt that this website -- now far diminished from the heyday of message boards during the 2000s, when it actually garnered some media attention -- is enough on their radar for them to bother sending in house shills to talk them up. I think it's just that a significant portion of the fan base is buying what they're selling. I'm not, you're not, but don't ever forget, these guys are good at messaging. Real good. A damn sight better than they are at assembling ballclubs given their resources IMO.
I hid in the clouded wrath of the crowd, when they said "sit down" I stood up.

This! By the way, I don't think there are many Yankee fans happy right now by the inaction of Yankee management. We shouldn't be turning our fan frustration onto each other.
Looks like Seager is going to sign with the Rangers or Dodgers today.
They apparently lost both Semien and Verlander over their refusal to add an extra year to their offers, and they didn’t make any effort to lure Scherzer who looks like he’s about to sign with the Mets.
Never thought I would live to see the day where the Yankees are being operated like a small market team with such apathy towards its fanbase.
Make no mistake, the Steinbrenner family does not at all care about winning. They only care about extracting as much of your money as they can while giving you as little as possible in return - just enough to keep you spending on their inferior product. Disgraceful.

Can't wait to hear Cashman brag about how disciplined he was in not overpaying.
Q: Who’s the guy on your roster that would have been overlooked if not for analytics? Cashman: Ronald Torreyes. He’s an analytical darling.

Reminds me of when previously well respected companies that are now swirling around the toilet start licensing their name on to everything.
Steinbrenners are just milking the Yankee legacy, slapping the name on a mediocre team that is otherwise nothing special (at best) compared to the other 29 teams.

42 a mil for scherzer is insane but he’s shown to be one of those Nolan Ryan types that will be dominate into his late 30s so for a team wanting to win now it makes sense. Where are you cash

$42M for 1 year? I can definitely see why a team would prefer that to 2/70 or something like that- and 2/70 is a bargain imo.
