Maybe if Rizzo would agree to also be a ball boy down the line on his rest days. Saving Hal some cash.

It's a great point. People here are talking about Hal spending hundreds of millions of HIS dollars on more players. He's not even spending part time minimum wages for a couple of ball boys.

      It's really disgusting.

LOL. All of us called this:

He did admit to not revealing his symptoms to the Yankees prior to spring training, saying they were unaware he was “fighting for my life.” Frazier, who has dealt with concussions, said the physical issues eventually came back. The stadium lights or crowd noise could have an impact on how he felt.

I showed up to spring training and started to feel better, and then it kind of, like, came back, because I had an instance where I bumped the wall again,” he said. “I went into the whole season feeling that exact way.”

That would seem to be the case. Meanwhile the Yankee Organization covered their eyes and plugged their ears and yelled "LALALALALALALALA" all season long.

Players want to play. Especially a player who is finally given a starting role. You don't take a players word for it.

When a player who experienced a major concussion in previous seasons slams into a wall, you don't just ask if your OK and then put your head in the sand. You let him undergo thorough testing. They finally did, just many many months later. Inexcusable.

Not to mention no more elevator operators and when I went to the open house they were in the process of gutting out the manuel auxiliary scoreboards. Pinching every penny.

I like this deal a lot, but mostly because I think its an inevitability he re-ups with the Yankees. I'd rather have them do that now via an extension and get the clock ticking than wait and sign him to a 6 year deal later where he'll be even older at the backend. The AAV seems a little high of course, but I presume that is in part to constrain the number of years. And the vesting options based on plate appearances would be a good way to contain injury risk.

That said, I don't think there's any way Judge would consider that offer right now even for a moment. If I were his agent, I'd tell him no way he should sign that.

This doesn't reflect well on the Yankees of course, but it also doesn't justify his recent whiny tweets about being glad he's not in NY any more. If this is all there is to it, IMHO it says a lot more about his character than anything else. Also, I wonder how his new employer feels about this. Wrigley Field isn't necessarily ideal for a guy who gets recurring concussion symptoms from "bumping into walls."

More advertising space. Hal needs another Villa.

Don't we already have a Center Fielder that's always hurt, and doesn't hit with the promise he showed when he first came up?

Right...Dumpster diving at it's best. This is what Cashman does. I know he had been interested in him for quite some time so now he got him.

A younger version of Brett Gardner? Just depth in Scranton? I kind of like it. Still hoping Florial gets a real shot @ 4th OFer,

Brett needs to be the strength and conditioning coach - if he comes back at all.

It's just another option that Brett Gardner is an improvement over. But, you know, let's sign Freeman and Correa. LOL
