Unfortunately true. They figure the fans might stay away right after the stoppage ends but will be back a few seasons later. Just like they did a few years after the 1994 stoppage.

Some Yankee news.
Luis Severino told reporters on Thursday that he expects to be ready for the start of spring training.
Whenever that will be, of course. Severino wasn't able to return to the mound until near the end of September after recovering from Tommy John surgery and subsequent setbacks. When healthy, the 27-year-old has shown elite stuff, and was one of the best starters in the American League in 2017-2018. Unfortunately, he's only been able to throw 18 innings over the past three seasons, so 'when' is the operative term. There's risk with Severino, but that risk comes with substantial reward if he can stay healthy and is a member of the New York rotation.
(his last year on his contract and I think 2M buyout)

A 6-man rotation has to be part of the plan, IMO, with Cole throwing every 5 days."Somebody once asked me if I ever went up to the plate trying to hit a home run. I said, 'Sure, every time.'" -- Mickey Mantle

Like playing poker with 5 cards (rotation) and thinking low hand (an Ace). Kenny Rogers "when to fold them" Cashman may double down like he did at the trade deadline that worries me.
I hope Sevy is a 20 game winner.

Sevy was one of my keys from the 2017 dynasty but that's all over with me even with Judge. (If we did not have a 6 man rotation with Tanaka I don't see it this year. I still like Cole and Monty)

They need a similar plan this season IMO.
