I think Hal likes Boone and this is the reason he hasn't been fired already. Hal listens to Cashman and he will be up to him. I thought Boone would be a scapegoat but we should know within the next 2 weeks what is happening. Brian may be looking at Joe Espada as a replacement. Bench coach of HOU and worked with Brian. I don't blame Boone as much as others here.

    This was back in July.

Needed to happen. IMO base running and hitting are definitely a part of the problem and any coaches having anything to do with that aspect of the game should go, along with Boone. Basic base running fundamentals were terrible - way too many dumb mistakes on the base paths and the team was a double play machine. Plus it seemed the only time this team looked really exciting to watch was when those young guys were called up during that 13 game streak to breathe some energy into the team. For the life of me I don't understand why with the left side of the field wide open for an over shift none of these players, except Rizzo a few times, just directed the ball down the third baseline for a give me single or double. Got to do better and it starts with fundamentals and coaching!

We're all spoiled and we're all as dumb as a box of rocks. We really need to get our collective act together and trust in the man and his process.

Brian Cashman's interview question for managers: "Will you enthusiastically prostrate yourself before authority and are you willing to and capable of being a sycophantic yes-man?"

        That's the whole interview.

Whether it's Espada or Boone...The orders will be sent by the front office/analytics department....

It will be the same results until a new GM is in place with a different view.

Lambchop said yes. No further interviews were necessary. We had out replacement for Girardi. I mean, why waste valuable time talking to candidates. It's so boring. More time to climb up a building. Win.

There you go, hang a few corporals, let the generals who planned the disaster hang around to plan another.

I hid in the clouded wrath of the crowd, when they said "sit down" I stood up.

Thames never made it to corporal IMO. Glad to see him gone. It's tough to be a good hitting coach, I imagine. Yankee offense was a disaster, scoring many less runs, hitting way less doubles, BA very much lower, and too many strikeouts. Get rid of the coach and get rid of some of the players.

Isn't Espada the third base coach who was worse than Nevin?

Thames the sacrificial lamb. Boone likely coming back. So far the offseason is going exactly as I expected.

That's one coach I thought was going to be sacrificed. Are they keeping P.J. Pilittere? If so, why? Was he the one with all the good ideas and the Thames had all the bad ones? Why did someone think it was smart to have two hitting coaches with opposing ideas?

I'm 2 for 3. Figured they'd get rid of PJ too.

Just saw the answer is no PJ also not reupped
                            here's the tweet
@lindseyadler: Sources: Assistant hitting coach P.J. Pilittere will also not have his contract renewed by the Yankees for 2022. Pilittere was drafted by the Yankees in 2004 and has been with the organization since.
