You need a combination of different offensive skills. Frankly, I think they have enough HR power with Judge, Stanton,Rizzo and occasional pop from others. What they have lacked is contact and on base .
We'll see if Volpe/Peraza can provide that.
7-8-9 in the lineup has to get on base at about a 32-33% clip if Judge is hitting in the #2 hole.
Can Peraza-Donaldson-Hicks/Cabrera accomplish this?"Somebody once asked me if I ever went up to the plate trying to hit a home run. I said, 'Sure, every time.'" -- Mickey Mantle

Of course, if they were going to plan for that, they would have started last November by trading Gleyber. But the Yankees love changing guys' positions.

It’s a good thing spring training games are worthless in predicting future success. If they were meaningful you would be looking at a 4th place team. Players who batted 7-9 will not be on roster. Yes, it was a road spring game but three prima donnas made the trip. Donaldson will hit less than .225 this year and will find himself batting eighth once the Yankees find a way to get rid of Hicks.

I see Todd Frazier is joining YES, I think in the studio. I find him interesting to listen to, He's pretty "real" will have some interesting stories and honest points of view.
I hope Jack Curry gets to do more game broadcasts, he's a good in-depth guy with good connections in that Yankee clubhouse."Somebody once asked me if I ever went up to the plate trying to hit a home run. I said, 'Sure, every time.'" -- Mickey Mantle
