Agreed. This is the mistake they keep repeating. They count on frequently injured players and players returning from injury to be healthy and productive all season. It always comes back to bite them.

In his interview today with Meredith, Judge basically said havkng a winning season meant nothing to him.

I have no idea if that is true but Judge and Torres should have at least started the game. They basically were saying the game meant nothing. I don't remember Mattingly ever sitting out the last game when he was playing.

So you're down with giving his rotation spot to Montas?
I hid in the clouded wrath of the crowd, when they said "sit down" I stood up.

I am not. Spend the money on a healthy pitcher.

No. Forget Montas. I'm saying they need to do a better job of building depth and stop assuming frequently injured players are going to be healthy and productive. If you're counting on Rodon and Cortes to be 2 of your 5 starters, you better have a good backup plan because history tells us they're going to be injured at some point.

Finally, an end to this nightmare season ! On to Hot Stove !
More people have walked on the moon than have scored an earned run off of Mariano Rivera in the postseason.

Best thing about this season is that it's over. I will never have to watch the 2023 Yankees again.

The difference between Showalter and Boone was the former was actually managing while the other was merely following direct orders. It would be completely hypocritical to fire a guy for doing what he's told by upper management and for having little, if any say in the decision making processes.
