    2021 Jameson Taillon Performance Thread

Great start tonight ... filthy stuff. Hope to see more of the same in his next start.
? Can switching to Geico really save you 15 % or more on car insurance ? ? Does the postman always ring twice ?

I liked what I saw. He deserved a better fate.

If he and Kluber stay healthy, it’s the best starting staff they’ve had in a long time.

I'm also hoping that Montgomery provides some consistency, some health, and some INNINGS.

Whatever we can get from German, Garcia, Schmidt and eventually Severino also gives me hope.

winnable game to say the least. That Gleyber throwing error really really irked me.

It was a winnable game if they could get a few hits with RISP.

Seeing that filthy Taillon curveball coming in Yankee pinstripes is amazeballz, specifically the one he threw to strikeout Franco at the 1:40 mark:

Would be great if his velo eventually bumped back up a little a little closer to his pre-injury levels (94-98 touching 99) but I love his mentality. FB command and movement could be better and his changeup looks very average & without much fade/sink but that may be the last pitch to come along.

Better defense or a few timely hits and yeah that's a W, but sometimes you lose games you should win and win games you should lose. It will happen over 162.

His slider looked like a much better pitch than I thought it was gonna be.

Wasn't that the pitch he credited with making him successful in his last half season with the Pirates before he had to go under for TJS?

How much more of Taillon do we have to endure?

                        Pirates absolutely fleeced Cashman.

LOL.... And the Pirates never fleece anyone. They are the fleeced. Such dumbness. Everywhere.

This guy totally stinks. A worse ERA+ than Sonny Gray's 2018 tour. In a season where batting is muted all around, Taillon maintains a 5+ era. I mean yikes. Michael King is eons better than this guy.

I would rather they just call up Garcia and let him get his reps in for 2022.
