2021 Asher Wojciechowski Performance Thread

Tonight's starting pitcher is the only MLB player ever with the first name Asher and the second player with the last name Wojciechowski. https://www.baseball-reference.com/p...ojcias01.shtml has his statistics. His ERAs are 5.95 career, 6.81 last year for Baltimore, 5.51 for Baltimore in 2020 and 2021 combined, and 5.68 in 12 2/3 inning for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Hoy Park was outrighted down after going 0-for-1 to give the Yankees nine relievers and three bench players. Considering how bad Wojciechowski could be and four gaes in Boston after today, I understand the Yankees wanting nine relievers. Four of the relievers have ERAs of at least 6.00, and I wouldn't be surprised if Wojciechowski ends tonight that high. According to ESPN, the Yankees are slightly favored.

I don't think this thread will get much more activity, as I believe Nestor and King are close to returning. Hopefully that is as soon as after the Tampa series. There is a day off before the Tampa series next week, so a 5th starter isn't needed before next weekend.
