Did he no show practice before or after they told him he wasn’t going to be on roster?

My understanding is he asked whether he would be on the postseason roster, was told we're still deciding, and that wasn't good enough for him so he blew off the workout. Buh-bye.

Edit: What are the Yankees waiting for? Why this dickie-doo stuff with Boone saying he might be added for the ALCS if they get there or the WS? How many injuries would they need to have in the ALDS for him to be a good choice? I'd rather put Deivi Garcia and his 10.00 ERA (or whatever it is now) on the roster before I'd put this mook on the team ever again. At least we can assume Deivi wants to do the work and compete.
I hid in the clouded wrath of the crowd, when they said "sit down" I stood up.

Yes. It's not like they have to worry about how this will effect Chapman next season.

The funny thing is with Effross needing TJS, Chapman probably is on the roster had he showed for the mandatory meeting. I mean how the F do you make $18m a year or whatever it is and miss a mandatory playoff meeting?

It's being suggested by some (including me) that the disrespect Chapman is showing stems from him losing the closer's role earlier this season, which IMO was totally justified.

Bad decision, Aroldis. It may keep any and every ML team from bidding on your services going forward. You should start looking for a job in Japan or Korea.

Well Chapman did put himself on the IL by going to a tattoo parlor. So not the brightest bulb in the circuit.

I just don't think that they need this crap distraction now....
