    To be fair, he hasn't mastered elementary pronunciation in a lot of languages. Reference the KEY-boom, Ka-BOOM mixup from four weeks ago. Suzyn did her usual valiant job of trying to subtly clue him in but she might as well be talking to a wall.

    Sterling insists on pronouncing the young third baseman's name as Per-ROT-sa. Forty years of broadcasting baseball and he hasn't mastered elementary Spanish pronunciation.

    I was very impressed with Emanuel Berbari who took over for Suzyn but he also shared the play-by-play with Justin Shackil. Emanuel has occasionally filled in and done very well on the post-game show. I think he is only 24 years old. Has a bright future in my opinion.

    I thought it was cool that the Boston and Yankees Radio announcers swapped each other out for an inning yesterday. Did anyone listen? I only saw the TV broadcast mention it and showing the mixed pairing on camera.

It will be the first Yankee game since they teamed up in 2005 where this has happened. It'll be the first Yankee game with neither of them announcing since 1988.
