Is there something magical that changes the transmission likelihood after 9:00? At 8:30, you're safe, but at 9:30 you're at risk?

My guess is that earlier in the evening it's easier to keep a good distance while later in the night the bar fills up and is just wall to wall people.

Is it wrong that I'm hoping for what I'm hoping for? I mean, I don't want him to suffer from a horrible illness, I just want karmic justice for the gelatinous container proclaiming by next week there will be no cases on American soil.

Why not? Millions are suffering because of his cruelty. It would be poetic justice.

I don't want him to get it because when he recovers he'll never shut up about how it was just the sniffles and nobody should worry.

He's pretty old. He might not fare so well. I suspect we'd never know even if he did test positive, unless he were catastrophically ill.

If anyone here is still willing and/or able to dine out during this pandemic, please consider adding a little extra when you tip.

A couple more bucks one night won't make much of a difference to you, but if enough people do it, it could make a huge difference for the workers who will feel some of the worst economic effects of this thing.

An obese 80 year old man who wears makeup and shakes people's hands all day? What's to worry about? (I know the makeup part has nothing to do with his likelihood to get sick, but I just thought it was funnier).

But in all honesty, I don't see how anyone could legitimately wish for Trump to get this virus. It reeks of turning this pandemic into politics.... which is the exact opposite of what we need right now.

Trump's response was whatever. He's obviously completely out of his element giving a speech like that where he can't go for laughs and get applause, but I think people like to know that at least SOMETHING is being done.

Hope everyone is staying safe! My job just forced us to start working from home through at least next week, so it's gonna be a strange few days here.

Trump’s response was not “whatever.” It was full of misinformation and it was yet another example of just how stunningly incompetent he is.

So if they ban 500 people does that mean a church has to take a head count of how many folks are going in (not that a lot of churches have attendance of 500 these days)
