What? That people still mistake land for people?

Actually a bunch of nothing. The hot spots went from the south to….the other anti-vax, sparsely populated red voting parts of the country?

But why is Florida doing so well now?

Riding it out while it runs wild through your state until it runs its course and spreads to other regions isn’t “doing it well.” It’s shrugging off collateral damage

I hate looking at information like this, but for the sake of the discussion, here are the 10 states with the highest death rate per 1 million population:

                      Mississippi 3,411
                      Alabama 3,229
                      New Jersey 3,163
                      Louisiana 3,145
                      New York 2,943
                      Arizona 2,941
                      Arkansas 2,816
                      Florida 2,803
                      Georgia 2,777
                      Massachusetts 2,770

Because these things are cyclical? I mean, that's how it's run since March 2020, across the world. But it's not like every area is being hit equally in those maps.

Mmhm, what do you make of these
numbers- they certainly don’t suggest Florida is good, they do show that the South is terrible and….no California? Recall the Governor because he’s an emperor California? Lockdown/masking/vaccine California?

The Southeast region is clearly the worst, followed by the most heavily populated zone in the Northeast.

Right, but you have to keep in mind that New York, NJ and Massachusetts were the epicenter of the pandemic in early 2020, before we knew anything about the virus. You can certainly see trends as we've gained knowledge and vaccines.

Yup. It's also considering poor, mostly BIPOC as "collateral damage."
